The Centre is conceived as an active institution rather than a finished display. Collections will lead to questions; questions to research; research to publications, exhibitions and learning.
Its public and academic work should strengthen one another. A family’s first encounter, a student’s research visit and an international conference all belong within the same living house of discovery.
