Our purpose

More than a home. A place where new ideas begin.

Every generation inherits Tolkien’s legacy. The Centre exists to ensure that each generation can preserve it, deepen its understanding and pass it on stronger than it received it.

Buene & Risør

A historic home at the water’s edge.

The future home

Historic rooms. A new cultural purpose.

Buene already carries the texture of another time: timber walls, harbour light and rooms made for meeting. The next chapter will adapt that character for exhibitions, books, research and conversation.
